Project description

As part of the project, a non-commercial prototype of the INGEO system was developed as a continuation of the development of the ARAMIS M/E seismic system and the ARES-5/E seismoacoustic system.

The system was equipped with:

  • digital transmission to the surface using optical fibers,
  • local transmission in the longwall area using wired lines,
  • borehole sensors for relative stress changes,
  • ultrasonic sensors for mine workings deformation.

Technology demonstrator

  • 14 intrinsically safe high-frequency channels,
  • 2 intrinsically safe local measurement concentrators LKP,
  • 10 remotely controlled intrinsically safe pneumatic exciters WZB,
  • 8 intrinsically safe radio channels for stress measurement,
  • 8 radio channels for deformation measurement,
  • 2 radio transceiver modules MP N/O/R,
  • 1 high-precision GPS measurement channel.

Threat assessment methods

The system utilizes complementary methods of passive and active seismic tomography, combined with the seismic hazard method, for comprehensive hazard assessment in the mining longwall area.

Certification

All system components received ATEX certificates issued by OBAC Gliwice.
